Sonam Raghuvanshi Latest News
A new twist has emerged in the sensational Raja Raghuvanshi murder case that took place in Meghalaya. Govind Raghuvanshi, the brother of main accused Sonam Raghuvanshi, reached Indore and met the family of his deceased brother-in-law, Raja Raghuvanshi. During the meeting, he expressed shame and anger over his sister’s actions and said, “I will fight this case myself and make sure my sister is punished.”
“I Knew She Was Guilty When She Avoided Eye Contact”
Govind revealed that he was only allowed to meet his sister Sonam for two minutes in Ghazipur (Uttar Pradesh) as the police didn’t allow much conversation. During the brief meeting, he directly asked her, “Were you involved in this murder?” Sonam initially denied it, but when Govind mentioned the confessions of the three contract killers – Akash Rajput, Vishal alias Vicky Thakur, Anand Kurmi – and her lover Raj Kushwaha, she could no longer meet his eyes. “I’ve known her since childhood. I could read her eyes—she is clearly guilty,” Govind said. In a fit of rage, he attempted to slap Sonam, but the police intervened and stopped him.
Raja’s Mother Forgives Govind
Raja Raghuvanshi’s mother, Uma Devi, publicly stated, “Govind is deeply ashamed of his sister’s actions. He has said he stands with us and will fight for justice.” She shared that when Govind arrived in Indore, he came straight to their home. Uma Devi added, “He had no knowledge of the conspiracy, so we have forgiven him.”

Revelations from ‘Operation Honeymoon’
According to Meghalaya Police’s investigation under ‘Operation Honeymoon,’ Sonam conspired to murder her husband Raja Raghuvanshi on May 23. With the help of her lover Raj Kushwaha and three contract killers, she lured Raja to a deserted location in Sohra, Shillong, and had him murdered.
During the investigation, the police recovered CCTV footage, a blood-stained jacket, Sonam’s raincoat, and other crucial evidence. Sonam surrendered in Ghazipur on June 9.
“Death Penalty for the Guilty”
This incident has sparked outrage across Indore and the entire Raghuwanshi community. Raja’s family and community members are demanding the death penalty for Sonam and all other accused. Govind has echoed this demand, saying, “This is no longer just a family’s fight; it’s a fight for the entire community.”
Govind Stands with Raja’s Family
Govind Raghuvanshi’s stance clearly shows that he stands firmly with Raja’s family. He has pledged to bring justice through legal means, even if it means ensuring his own sister faces punishment. His vow is to secure justice for Raja Raghuvanshi’s grieving family.
